The brand Luce was created in Verona in 2017 when Martina Ferri Faggioli designed the first capsule mixing jersey and lurex. Bright colours, Jacquard fabric and prints from the 1970s, welcome in the playful and feminine universe of Luce.
The brand Luce was created in Verona in 2017 when Martina Ferri Faggioli designed the first capsule mixing jersey and lurex. Bright colours, Jacquard fabric and prints from the 1970s, welcome in the playful and feminine universe of Luce.
At first, the project was to have fun by creating a 100 % Italian brand that would develop little capsules ready to use to answer rapidly the needs of the shops and to follow trends.
Today, Luce has grown, but the flexibility and spontaneity remained the same.
When the word « jersey » is mentioned, you often immediately think about sportswear and you end up in locker rooms. Not really our style at Victoire… we are rather among those who think that jersey must know its place: on the courts or on the pitches. Well, no, here, the idea is rather to offer a concept of cloths made of jersey which can adapt to the body, to the movement, to life… mixed with a subtle lurex thread. What a dream, right? The perfect mix between comfortable and chic.
When it comes to the inspiration, we directly dive in the 1970s: bright colours, organic shapes and psychedelic motives. A touch of A Clockwork Orange, a pinch of Missoni… And it’s ready!
Then, let’s go to Carpi, in Emilia Romagna, in a historic mesh factory that specialized in the Jacquard where the motive is woven. (Editor’s note: Today, most motives are printed because it’s cheaper and faster… Hopefully, it is not the case with our pieces!)
