Previously in the last season: if you followed our adventures in the Cap Ferret from the start… for 3 years, we were in the fishers’ village, a former art gallery with outstanding charm and terracotta colour.
Season 2:
The move! All start at Victoire Cap Ferret at 27 Boulevard de la Plage, the unmissable men and women shopping address for those who love fashion and colours. Same team, same terracotta colour… you cannot miss us!
The plot continues at the Hôtel des Pins, a mythical location and half-board if you please. Their food is simple, homemade… and affordable! Our two acolytes, the householders, bring a good atmosphere during the dinner in the beautiful colonial dining room. Kids friendly, dog friendly… in short, just very very friendly!
For sports, it’s Alex’s surf school at the Plage de l’Horizon and wild tennis games at the Tennis Club de l’Océan.
In the afternoon, a little getaway thanks to “Balade sur Chaland”, the firsts to have transformed this famous fishing boat in a pleasure craft. You can even come with your picnic or take the oyster and white wine option for a wonderful tasting in the middle of the bay.
Small detour by Fumette to taste local traditionally smoked fishes, on site or on takeaway. Mullet, trout, tuna…
Late afternoon, a trip at Victoire to say hello to Virginie.
And finally, an apéritif at Yoan and Chloe, our former neighbours from La Kabane in the fishers’ village. You can discover their candies, these delicious and very small oysters that they are the only one to have. To tell the truth, it is thanks to these “candies” that I started liking oysters. And Cap Ferret without oysters is like a cake without a cherry on top… You see?
For dinner, back to square one at the Hôtel des Pins or at La Maison du Bassin, at Mayzou or at La Guinguette des Copains to go elsewhere.
There, you have every address we love in Cap Ferret, chic and without fuss!
Let’s meet there next week?
Have a nice weekend,
Camille
