When I was a little girl, I remember crawling in the changing room of the Place des Victoires shop while my mother was trying on clothes from Jil Sander, Alaia, Prada, Roméo Gigli and many others…
I remember, the talent, the imagination, the magnificent elegance of this wonderful woman, Françoise Chassagnac, who is the origin of this very particular Victoire spirit.
I remember seeing my father getting worried, having doubts, getting passionate, opening new shops, creating his own brand, having many ideas - sometimes good… sometimes not so good. I also remember him questioning himself, fighting, and never quitting…
I think back on the opening party of the Rue Duphot shop and on Florence, my step-mother. Her taste, her look, her talent to « spot » new collections…
I think about Patricia, Anita, Elisabeth, Natalie, Carmela, Maelis, Marie-Pierre, Clémence… who have contributed so much to make our shops places of encounter where one feels at home…
Lastly, I think of course to the amazing team who helps me today with passion, energy, and talent to make this legacy continue.
In a nutshell, at Victoire, no plastic surgery, we stay the same!
Of course, this 60th anniversary is yours too. Your loyalty for 60 years now, your messages, your support… How fortunate we are to have you!
We had to celebrate, so we have created an anniversary capsule.
For women, it is a beautiful shirt and a dress. For men, it is an « easy » cut shirt. All the clothes in this capsule are embroidered, patched with forgotten fabrics from our archives. A nice « 60 » on one sleeve, the letter « V » for Victory, hearts by the thousands…
It is the essence of what we do at Victoire. Creating and selling pieces of clothing which, even though there are only clothes, set our hearts racing.
