Aurélien Delahaies

Aurélien Delahaies
Every season, we give carte blanche to an artist who “dresses” our shop window panels according to their inspirations and desires. This summer, it is Aurélien Delahaies who takes us in his playground mixing flowers and fabrics.
Hello, can you introduce yourself?

After spending many years working in fashion as a designer, I tried new experiences first in flower design then, more recently, in landscaping and garden maintenance. These different passions and my curiosity allowed me, on top of these activities, to build a bridge between Fashion and Garden to create unique pieces that allow to escape.
It is a unique work on the link between the cloth fabric and the plant, imagining lush gardens, dreamy universe, phantasmagorical plants and reflected shadows.
A Work made on raw canvas, ancient template or cotton-linen mix drapes freehand painted with Indian ink.

What was your inspiration working for Victoire? What is your link with the brand?

I have been contacted to collaborate with Victoire on the backgrounds of shop displays, with a floral and colorful inspiration.
I was seduced by the idea, because the universe speaks to me a lot, it is the heart of my work.
It makes sense with the pieces and the audacious mixes the brand proposes. I like the idea of asking every season artists to work on different elements of the collection.

What is going on for you these days? Where can we see your work?

I have a lot of projects going on that overlap around plants, textile, furniture… For now, you can follow me on Instagram on ADELAHAIES and a website will open soon.
