Even though the month of May was announced under favourable auspices, on the 8th, it’s already a trap.
Well yes, my friends, this second long weekend will be rather… wet. In Saint-Tropez, in Cap Ferret, in Annecy… and almost everywhere quite frankly.
Cold, storm, hail, wind, and other bad omens are definitely coming for us this weekend. And let’s be real: nobody will be forgotten.
Then, as we are going to apparently spend the month of May the nose in our suitcases, trying to figure out the famous “in case of” factor which fills some spaces, I give you some tips to travel light and with optimism:
#1: roll your cloths. I saw that on social media a few years ago… and it works! Double the amount of clothing can fit just rolling, you would have thought?
#2: you choose pieces of the season not too light, to rise the temperature… caliente! Caliente!
#3: forget about dark colours! You want to dance under the rain wearing candy pink, sun yellow, meadow green, or horizon blue.
#3(A): prefer wearing beige to white that the slightest grain gets dirty.
#4: you choose pieces that are 2, 3, 4 in 1. The little light and waterproof down jacket, the pumps or loafers that matches everything, in winter or in summer, the multifunction jacket, the sleeveless sweater to put on underneath the overcoat.
#5th and final tip: we have to be happy. Because even if the 8th is under water, we still have plenty of time to catch up.
The month of May has not said its last word.
Have nice little long weekend,
Camille
