The relationship between Stella Jean and fashion is a long story. She was a model when she started. It is Diane Von Fürstenberg who realizes that she is more into designing than wearing clothes.
With her Italian father and her Haitian mother, Stella has a voice, a story to tell. First, she expresses hers in every single of her ethnic pieces of clothing is half-way between Haiti, Africa, and Italy. But Stella Jean is also about the great history of unprivileged women, in Haiti or elsewhere, whose passion Stella reveals with talent and savoir-faire.
