Dear friends,
This spring, you will discover the landscapes of Sarah Thomas in our shop windows. I wanted to offer you open windows onto the countryside, as a celebration of slowness, a moment to reflect for yourself (myself)…
Breathing in the fresh air, taking your time, escaping to the countryside, enjoying wide open spaces…
It’s something we sometimes miss when living in the city, isn’t it?
“There, all is peace and beauty, luxury, calm, and sensuality.” …
I was deeply moved by the contemplative softness of Sarah’s works — which perfectly echo our colourful silhouettes — and by her words, which you will find below. She began painting during her illness, and it was a crucial part of her healing journey. To all these everyday warriors…
Enjoy the reading and have a wonderful weekend,
Camille
Hello, can you introduce yourself and your work?
I’m Sarah Thomas, a UK‑based artist working primarily with landscape and nature‑inspired paintings. My work explores light, atmosphere and those quiet moments in nature that invite reflection and calm.
I began painting during chemotherapy for breast cancer and painting has been an important part of my own healing journey — themes of resilience, renewal, and quiet strength often run through my work. I’m drawn to subtle colour shifts, soft horizons, and a sense of space that allows the viewer to pause and breathe.
What are you working on? Where will we be able to see you?
My work is currently available in UK galleries and online, with new original paintings and fine art prints released regularly. I’m continuing to develop new collections that build on my exploration of light, landscape, and emotional connection, and I’m always excited to see my work reach new audiences through collaborations like with Victoire Paris. You can see my full portfolio, available works, and latest updates at www.sarahthomasartist.co.uk and on Instagram @snooty_fox_art
What is your link with Victoire?
I believe what resonated with Victoire is the emotional sensitivity of my work — its sense of calm, poetry, and connection to nature. My paintings are not about dramatic statements, but about atmosphere and feeling: light moving across land, the hush of a field at dusk, or the gentleness of colour settling into place. That understated elegance and timeless quality aligns beautifully with Victoire’s aesthetic and their appreciation for thoughtful, soulful design.
