Olympics passion

Passion JO

Every time, it’s the same thing.
At home, once it starts, we go along with the crowd. I even learnt this week that it is a passion I share with Claire, from rue Madame.

I prefer winter to summer.
In winter, we are available, quite warm in our hideaways, cross-country skiing as a background noise. Events come one after another and so do achievements, disillusions, and disappointments too: a raw and intense concentration of emotions that only sports and the Olympics know how to do.

From the beginning, the Cortina atmosphere contrasted with the flamboyance of Paris 2024. The opening ceremony was very classic, a bit cliché even, with Mariah Carey’s performance which, we all agree on that, will never hold a candle to Celine’s.
Never!

But let’s talk sports…
France Olympic biathlon team — so nice —, Lindsey Vonn’s both tragic and magnificent take off, for her last performance. No need for neither diamante, nor sequins for our elegant ice skater couple who spins gracefully on ice. Romane Miradoli’s Super Giant Slalom, with her smiling and happy eyes. Admiring Haitians, dressed by Stella Jean, our Italian Haitian creator. Commenting a missed luge start, bettering your English thanks to halfpipe, being excited by mogul skiing, thinking about a little Albertville revival and sparing a thought for Edgar Grospiron who, at this hour, has a lot on his snow plate…

Sports has always been part of my family’s DNA and of Victoire.
We watch it, we do it, we share it…
Doing a job we love, sports, laughter, family, friends, good simple food… this is what is called harmony, right?

Have a nice weekend,
Camille
