PIERRE LOUIS MASCIA

Former artistic director of Salon Who's Next in Paris, Pierre-Louis Mascia first studied at the Beaux-Arts and then learned the know-how of Washi, the traditional Japanese art of making and illustration paper, before launching his own brand in 2007.
Joined with the Italian manufacturer Achille Pinto, he makes scarves and accessories that extend up to lifestyle fashion.
The mix of styles is precisely what makes the Pierre-Louis Mascia trademark. On its scarves, Liberty-style flowers rub elbows with geometric patterns, leopard prints, small or large polka dots ... Pierre-Louis Mascia makes the colours and patterns dance around with no rules: "In fact, I make Hermès with more of a funky side! " Each season, Pierre-Louis Mascia works on twenty original prints that’ll become scarves in different sizes and materials.
You can imagine that Pierre-Louis Mascia obviously found his place at Victoire, we share the same idea of fashion: a happy mix of style! Pierre-Louis Mascia, a trained illustrator, hails from Toulouse, France. He launched the Pierre-Louis Mascia line in 2007, under the training of the Uliassi brothers, owners of the Achille Pinto printing factory in Como, Italy. The collection started with scarves and later grew into a lifestyle proposal.
Pierre-Louis Mascia uses « collage » to create intricate patterns of surprising visual clarity which he prints all over wearable items. "I feel more like an artist than a fashion designer. The mix of different patterns, a constant attention to the colour palette and the use of certain materials define the identity of my collections. In fact, I am a funky Hermes "he says.
Everything provides inspiration: a mix of vintage fabrics or thorn book pages, laid out in op art fashion; antique wallpapers and old pieces of clothing ... Pierre-Louis Mascia found very naturally his place at Victoire. We share this same idea of fashion: a happy mix of style!
