Gentlemen, it is high time to surrender to the trend coming right out of Italy. Well yes, this winter, to keep your neck warm, you can wear a scarf the Italian way.
Already adopted by the male-fashion “Anna Wintour”, the Pitti Uomo king, the prince of Milan figures, none other than the famous, the unique, the unmissable, Alessandro Squarzi (No less!).
If you don’t know who that is, no worries, he is only considered like one of the best dressed men in the world by the US version of GQ magazine, and he is the one in the photo right above…
Close your eyes.
Imagine a bandana-shaped tie carelessly knotted… Or even, imagine a carelessly knotted bandana worn like a tie… Or even, imagine a carelessly knotted bandana like a tie but worn inside the shirt…
Open your eyes.
You’re lost, right? I know… But with fashion, my friends, everything is about aesthetics, balance, and, of course, an obsessional attention to detail.
To make it simple (and for those at the back of the class): it’s about mixing the tie’s chic and the bandana’s cool… The “sprezzatura”, this word that only exist in Italian, in other words the art of being effortlessly elegant.
Have a nice weekend,
Camille
PS: Our shops will be open on Sunday in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and in Passy. Christmas spirit, are you there? We are expecting you…
